Discipline - Should not be confused with punishment. We want everyone in our school community to watch their own discipline, to have self discipline. However if a student will not control their own behaviour then the Headmaster may need to talk with them. Generally an informal talk or warning from the Headmaster is all that is required at TWS.
In the unlikely event that a student deliberately chooses to continue to act improperly then a penalty may sadly be required. Penalties may include - a stern reprimand by the Headmaster
who may also remove privileges, exclude from class/sports/extra-curricular, and give detention or home-assignments. Restoration for damage will be required.
For serious or constant issues, a parent conference will be arranged. Suspension from TWS is very serious; and expulsion is a last resort after all other options have been explored.
Reasons for penalties include – bullying, vandalism, inappropriate language, violent or disruptive behaviour, deception, stealing, having weapons, smoking, illegal substances,
truancy and behaving dangerously.
