The Governors of Trio World School are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul Meekin as the new Headmaster of Trio World School.  Dr. Meekin will be joining the school in the Summer Term, of 2010.

Meekin, who is from England, joins Trio World School from the Ministry of Education where he was responsible for both Middle and High Schools, as the Leadership Coordinator. 

Before graduating in teaching from Cambridge University, Dr. Meekin trained and practiced as a lawyer then changed his career to education. He taught in London, for some years before he moved into key international educational leadership roles.  To date Meekin has lead educational projects all over the world including leading in schools in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and Asia.

Mr.K.N.Manjunath, Chairman of the Directors said:

“The Governors of Trio World School are delighted that Paul is able to assume the key leadership at Trio World School at the beginning of the Summer Term.  This move is fully supported by the staff and having just secured excellent feedback from the end of year report, we are looking forward with anticipation to his future experienced leadership.”

While the Governor’s had considered a considerable number of candidates and made inquiries in Australia, New Zealand, America and elsewhere, there was no doubt that Meekin was the best man for the job. Dr. Meekin has already proved himself to be one of the outstanding educators of his generation and the Governors of Trio World School were unanimous in their decision that he was the ideal appointment for the schools senior leadership position.

Meekin commented, “It is an enormous honor to be asked to rise to the challenge of Headship at Trio World School and I am thrilled to be working with the talented students, dedicated parents and very accountable staff to build on TWS’ reputation and provide an excellent educational experience for every pupil in our care.”

Paul enjoys classical art and literature, drawing and is a Master Class chess player. He has been described as a dynamic English gentleman with a unique intellect for literature and European history.
