At Trio World School we feel that the making of a young artist is more than simply the training of hands; that it also includes the training of the eyes and ears - but above all, the very real listening to one’s own heart.
At our school the study of art education is equal to the foundation for skills in any other taught subject. Once our students’ skill foundations are built then they will be able to hold any shape or form that they decide to place on it.
Trio World School has facilities for painting, drawing, printmaking, computer graphics and digital photography.
There are also facilities for ceramics and sculpture, metal and plaster. There are opportunities for art within the timetable; however, students are also strongly encouraged to use the art studio in their free time and after school.
The department is very well equipped and the departmental staff facilitate projects that are ambitious, individualistic and technically exciting. The Art department has regular exhibitions and the school has a number of poster boards for proudly displaying work. Students that complete art ventures at home are also encouraged to bring their work into school for display purposes.
There is no set format or specific technical approach to art at our school. Art is not taught it is guided - the idea is the starting point but the end result is very much up to the individual to select the appropriate medium to execute his design or composition.
“A warning to talented artists: - The Headmaster has a habit of pilfering art work if he likes it and put it up on the walls in his office.”
