Music affects growth academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Plato once said that music “is a more potent instrument than any other for education”.  

Trio World School is a truly musical place for your children with a very generous musical programme which has doubled the size and scope of students’ participation.  Musical lessons are timetabled and taught twice weekly; instruments range from wind, percussion, voice, keyboard, and stringed instruments.

Both juniors and seniors regularly put on their own concerts, and our schools bands, choirs, and music technology provide a wide and varied number of musical opportunities for students of all standards. The orchestras and choirs give occasional outside concerts and the Trio World School Choir holds a public concert every Christmas holiday.

Music at Key Stages, IGCSE and A-AS-Level and Music Technology are offered.

Six competitions are held each year, open to all students — House Choirs, Solo Singing, Piano, Brass, Woodwind and the battle of the school bands!

Music participation provides a unique opportunity for Literacy preparation. Whether our students are singing, playing, or listening, TWS teachers direct them to listen in new ways which exercises their aural discrimination. Playing instruments and adding movement to the lessons teaches students about sequential learning which is essential in reading comprehension.

Every student at Trio World School is actively encouraged to take an interest and get involved in music.
