| Parents & Teachers Association (P.T.A)
One of the strengths of Trio World School is the parent body which contributes so much to enhance the children's experiences and learning. For those who wish to become more involved in our school we would ask you to think about being part of our new Parents & Teachers Association (P.T.A)
The PTA is an elected Committee and will meet regularly in 2011/12 to make plans to support the school through events, fundraising and feedback.
The PTA helps parents meet other parents and assists in many ways to enhance the life of the school community.
Each year group needs to have at least one parent representative who can help in various ways. This representative can liaise with the teacher and PTA to organise help for school events eg. Christmas Bazaar, events and supervision, trips and even classroom support.
Role of the PTA Representatives:
- Meeting with other PTA members bi-monthly.
- Contacting new parents, making them feel welcome.
- Arranging with the classroom teacher a rota for parental help or in-class support.
- Organising end of term parties. (usually at the end of term)
- Assisting with special events by helping with costumes or props, for example.
- Supporting the PTA at events.
- Directing other parents to the appropriate person to deal with queries.
Parents and teachers wishing to serve on the PTA should contact the Head of Administration Catherine Charles. head.admin@trioworldschool.com
