Each board has its own advantages and disadvantages. When it comes to selecting a school and board for your child, ICSE is quite a formidable choice. The child is introduced to a 360° approach towards learning.

TRIO World School is certified and recognised by the CISCE.

The ICSE curriculum is comprehensive and offers a wide gamut of subjects, which can serve as a path to a career/profession – Commercial Application, Arts, Computer Application and so on. ICSE also facilitates deeper understanding of the subjects. Students who are interested in careers along the lines of management and humanities will find the curriculum followed under ICSE to be intriguing, challenging, and fruitful. Due to the emphasis laid on English in ICSE, students from this board may hold a slight edge over other students in exams like TOEFL.

The CISCE board certificate is accepted all around the world and is recognised by a number of colleges and universities across the globe.

ICSE syllabus goes into detail with equal focus on English, Science, Commerce and Mathematics. It is voluminous and the available number of subjects is higher. ICSE lays more emphasis on lab work. Internal assessments are vital and practical tests are aggregated with the overall scores. Therefore, due to its dept and breadth, the syllabus does give the impression that it is tough. Our skilled educators and our approach to the curriculum will ensure that your child performs their best.

We recruit trained teachers (with a B.Ed.), after which we have a rigorous induction program that caters to the needs of our institution. This is followed by other professional development programs that are periodically conducted for them which caters to the board requirements. There is periodical observation and feedback for teachers. They are also mentored regularly.

Students are regularly exposed to different sports and games. We conduct after school programs once we identify potential players to build up the school team and encourage them further to move ahead further in the area of sports.

The board recommends the following with regard to homework policy:

Regulation of Homework

(a) Homework can only be given without detriment to the health and well-being of pupils if judicious control is exercised by the Heads of Schools. The collaboration and co-operation of specialist teachers is also essential. The amount of written work to be done at home must be controlled and there must be a proper division of written and read homework.

(b) Type of Homework: Homework will differ from subject to subject and at each level, but reasonable homework would include:
  (i) work designed to give children practice in a particular processes or operation;
  (ii) the application to new problems of the principles which have been explained in the class;
  (iii) reading (study) with a view to acquiring principles, essential facts or formulae or illustrative examples;
  (iv) collecting information relating to specified topics or for debates;
  (v) preparation for a class (in Classes IX, X) not based on new material but on material previously explained. All homework must be corrected and returned to the students.

(c) Holiday Homework: No holiday homework should be set in the Primary Classes (I to V). At the Middle Classes (VI to VIII) formal homework should not be set, but pupils may be required to keep diaries, take up one or two projects or work on a hobby, suitable not only to their tastes and abilities, but also help them bond better.
