Mathematics Laboratory

The Mathematics laboratory is a place where our students can experiment and explore patterns and ideas. Mathematics is a subject which includes discoveries and explorations; one can find a collection of manipulatives in the Mathematics laboratory help as teaching and learning materials and develop an interest in mathematics. Teachers facilitate students through activities using the materials to test some of their ideas and beliefs about mathematical concepts.

The Mathematics laboratory resources cater to different Class levels in progression. They are intended to give students an experience of investigating mathematical concepts and not merely for the purpose of demonstration. Students have a possibility of generating further challenges and problems to visualise, manipulate and reason.

Our Mathematics laboratory is a place to enjoy logical concepts through informal exploration. Along with reinforcing their conceptual understanding, students often take their knowledge beyond the curriculum. It is a self-explanatory space where students work independently on problems and tasks along with the help of their facilitators. The facilitation is also extended by probing questions, giving extra resources or discussing with peers.

The Mathematical laboratory is a space which helps students connect their logical thinking to day-to-day life.
