CYCLOTHON is TRIO’s 24-hour continuous cycling challenge that brings together endurance, teamwork and social responsibility.
Students take turns pedalling on indoor cycling bikes (static) for 24 hours without a break. Their combined distance is tracked against a selected route, with every participant contributing to one shared journey.
But CYCLOTHON is about more than covering kilometres. The challenge connects student effort with a larger purpose working together to create a positive impact beyond the school campus.
No single student completes the journey alone. Each participant contributes kilometres, keeps the momentum going and helps the team move closer to its collective goal.
The experience shows students how individual efforts can come together to achieve something meaningful.
The journey does not end when the cycling stops.
At the selected destination, CYCLOTHON aims to support a school, library or community through books, educational resources, gifts or other meaningful contributions.
This connects the students’ physical challenge with a real-world purpose—turning collective effort into community impact.
Each edition of CYCLOTHON follows a different route. Students remain on campus while their combined cycling distance is tracked against that year’s selected journey.
