Sports and PE, including specialized coaching in swimming and football, are as integral to a child’s wellbeing and development as academics. Exceptionally qualified and experienced sports professionals conduct sports and PE, preparing students for the CISCE council sports tournament. TWS strives to inculcate awareness about the importance of physical health from an early age, in all our students. All activities are conducted in an age-appropriate manner, with periodic assessments to keep our students motivated. Safety norms and precautionary measures are given a high priority during all sporting activities.
The football program, a popular component of our physical education curriculum, focuses on developing close ball control through drills like dribbling through cones. Students build key technical skills such as dribbling with both feet, accurate passing, effective shooting, and legal tackling. Each session begins with a dynamic warm-up, followed by skill-based drills and a small-sided game to apply techniques in real situations. The program encourages quick decision-making, coordination, and teamwork. Through fun, engaging activities, students gain confidence and improve their overall game awareness–laying a strong foundation for competitive football, preparing students for events like the CISCE council sports tournament and inter-house competitions.
Basketball is a dynamic sport in our physical education curriculum that combines skill, strategy, and athleticism. Played between two teams of up to 12 players each, it emphasizes key skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Regular participation in basketball enhances agility, strength, endurance, balance, and hand-eye coordination. It also boosts concentration, discipline, and decision-making as players learn to think and react quickly during the game. The school actively promotes competitive play–this year, our team participated in the CISCE Regional Tournament, and we proudly hosted the U15 Boys' Tournament on campus.
The chess program at Trio World School offers structured training designed to develop critical thinking, foresight, patience, and strategic decision-making. Recognized as a valued component of our physical education and co-curricular activities, chess helps students sharpen focus and problem-solving abilities. Guided by seasoned instructors, students study classical openings, tactics, spatial awareness, and endgame calculations. Regular play builds emotional composure, analytical reasoning, and resilience, while preparing participants to compete in inter-house challenges and regional platforms such as the CISCE sports tournament.
Skating is a fun and active sport for children that promotes balance, confidence, and strength as part of our physical education curriculum. Students at our school learn skating step by step, guided by trained coaches. Regular practice keeps them fit, focused, and disciplined. Skating is one of our school's most popular co-curricular activities, bringing everyone together, promoting teamwork, and preparing students for competitive tournaments like the CISCE sports tournament.
At Trio World School, we believe in nurturing the holistic growth of every student by balancing academics with physical, mental, and emotional development through our physical education curriculum. One of the key disciplines offered at our school is WT Taekwondo (World Taekwondo) – a globally recognized martial art and Olympic sport.
Benefits of Taekwondo: Character building, physical fitness, dynamic kicks and punches, confidence, and discipline. Taekwondo instills self-confidence, focus, belt grading experience, and emotional control.
Our Taekwondo students have already showcased remarkable talent in inter-school, state, national, and international-level competitions, such as the CISCE sports tournament, bringing laurels to the school and setting inspiring examples for their peers. We are proud that many of our students have successfully achieved their black belts.
